…to the Mid-Island Branch of the BC Music Teachers’ Association (BCRMTA)

Our mission is to develop human potential and enrich lives through quality music education.

Based in Nanaimo on beautiful Vancouver Island, our non-profit organization was founded in 1965 to enrich lives through music by promoting the teaching, learning and performance of music to students of all ages and stages.

Our members are all qualified and experienced music teachers with a recognized university degree or diploma.  We have chosen music education as a career and are dedicated to the educational, cultural and artistic development of our students.

Our region encompasses the Mid-Island area south to Duncan, north to Oceanside (Nanoose/Parksville/Qualicum Beach), west to Port Alberni, and east to Lasqueti and Gabriola Islands.

We would like to acknowledge that the Mid-Island Branch of the BCRMTA exists within the territories of Coast Salish and Nuu chah nulth First Nations people on Vancouver Island.
